Troopers said Joshua A. Rosato, 24, of McAdoo, and John E. Callaway III, 17, of Schuylkill Haven, were both northbound. Callaway slowed down for traffic ahead of him and his 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 truck was struck in the rear by Rosato's 2010 Ford E150 van.

Two passengers with Rostao, Ryan J. Richardson, 26, of West Hazleton, and Eleanor Warmkesser, 59, of Shenandoah, were injured and taken to the Schuylkill Medical Center-S. Jackson St., Pottsville.

Rosato, Callaway and his passenger, John E. Callaway Jr. , Schuylkill Haven, were all not injured.

Rosato was cited for careless driving, troopers said.
