Jim Thorpe's Memorial Park was the scene of the annual CYO Easter egg hunt which is sponsored by the Saint Joseph CYO and held every year on Palm Sunday. The Easter egg hunt, now in its 15th year, was attended by hundreds of children and their parents. The excited youngsters swarmed the park grounds to recover an estimated 3,000 colorful eggs that were scattered about. Most of the plastic Easter eggs contained candy, while some contained tickets for toy prizes and a few golden eggs were good for a $5 prize. After the egg hunt, everyone was treated to hot dogs and soda courtesy of the St. Joseph CYO.
