Tamaqua Public Library offers free computer training for seniors

The Tamaqua Public Library, 30 S. Railroad St., is offering free basic computer training.

The Senior-Training-Seniors Program offers one-on-one computer instruction.

The public can also be served on a space-available basis.

The program is being offered at the library, Monday through Thursday, during normal operating hours.

The library is also asking the public's help to complete its yearbook collection.

The library is in the process of compiling a complete set of yearbooks for the following area schools: Tamaqua High School (unknown date to 1960); Tamaqua Area High School (1960-present); Coaldale High School (unknown date to 1963); and Marian High School (unknown date to present).

The collection is still missing books from the following years: Tamaqua High School's "The Sphinx": 1920, 1921, 1942, 1946, 1955, 1957-1959, 1960, 1962-1963, 1967, 1970, 1973, 1974, 1976, 1986, 1988, 1991, 1992, 2007-2009. Coaldale High School's "The Stentor": 1930-1932, 1948-1963 and Marian High School: 1980, 1981, 1986-2008.
