The Panther Valley JROTC will hold a meeting on Thursday, April 14 at 6 p.m. in the classroom. All parents are asked to attend.

The weekly Gathering of Churches Lenten service will be held tonight at Trinity Lutheran Church, Lansford.
Soup and sandwiches will be served at 6:15, followed by the worship service at 7 o'clock.
On Saturday, April 16, the annual Lenten Communion breakfast will be held at 9 a.m.
The schedule for Palm Sunday, April 17, includes: Sunday school at 9 a.m.; worship service at 10:30 a.m.; and Confirmation class at 6:30 p.m.
The parish's Holy Week schedule is as follows:
Maundy Thursday, April 21 - service at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Church.
Good Friday, April 22 - service at 7 p.m. at Zion Church, Nesquehoning.
Holy Saturday, April 23 - Easter Vigil at 7 p.m. at St. Paul Church.
Easter Sunday, April 24 - Sunday school egg hunt at 9 a.m.; and Easter worship service at 10:30 a.m. The Sunday school class will be singing during the worship service.
Sunday school classes will be held through May 8.
The weekly scripture sharing program of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held on Thursday, April 14, at 7 p.m. in the rectory.

The monthly meeting of the Lansford Borough Council will be held tonight. The session will be called to order at 6 o'clock, after which time the council plans to go into executive session. The regular session is anticipated to go into order at 7:15.

Tuesday, April 26, Municipal Administration Committee meeting, 6:30 p.m.

The executive board of the Nesquehoning Woman's Club will meet on Sunday, April 17 at 3 p.m. at the home of Connie Kravelk, club treasurer.
Coaldale Borough will have its annual Spring Cleanup Day on Tuesday, April 19.
Large items will be picked up including washers, dryers, stoves, refrigerators, limit of five tires, tire rims. All items must have all chemicals removed and doors taken off.
In addition up to 10 bags of garbage will be collected.
The Coaldale VFW, Stembrosky & Katchak Post 6982 will celebrate its 65th anniversary with a party/Meet The New Officers night on Friday, April 22.
