In addition to the previous stated activities, the Panther Valley Senior Center continues its days from April 18 with penny game at 11 a.m. On April 19 is bowling, and a van trip after lunch; April 20 is pay bingo at 11 a.m.; April 21 everyone will color Easter eggs at 11 a.m.; April 22 the center will be closed for Good Friday.
April 25 is the Easter Party with everyone wearing their Easter bonnets at 11 a.m.; April 26 Dr. Cruz will be the main speaker at 11 a.m.; April 27 is kitchen bingo at 11 a.m.; April 28 is a trip to the Sands casino; April 29 is Family Feud at 11 a.m.
Don't forget to sign in by 10 a.m. for lunch the next day.
The Senior Games are coming in May. Recruit some new members and practice every Thursday at the Lehighton Recreation Center.

The next Panther Valley Knee-Hi Monthly meeting will be held at The Sports Zoo in Lansford on Tuesday, April 12 at 7 p.m.
Spring cleanup plans
Summit Hill Borough officials have announced the schedule of refuse pickup in connection with the spring cleanup as follows:
On Thursday, April 21, refuse will be picked up on the east side of town, along with Knepper's Trailer lots and East and West White Bear Drive.
On Tuesday, April 26, refuse will be picked up on the west side of town, along with Laurel Drive and East and West Mountaintop Road.
Among the items that will be taken are (up to) five tires, tire rims, auto body parts, refrigerators, freezers, vending machines, dehumidifiers, water coolers, heat pumps, washers, dryers and stoves.
Items must have all chemicals removed from them and doors are required to be taken off as well. In addition, up to 10 bags of garbage will be collected.
St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will hold a parish council meeting on Tuesday, April 12, at 7 p.m. in the social hall of the church. All current members, and anyone interested in serving on the council, are asked to attend.
St. Paul Lutheran
Members of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Summit Hill, have planned a work session at the church for Saturday, April 9. Volunteers are needed to help clean the church and property. Anyone interested in helping with the project should report there at 10 a.m.
The weekly scripture sharing program of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Summit Hill, will be held tonight at 7 o'clock in the rectory.
The Lansford Babe Ruth program is in need of a few more players. Boys who are 13-15 years of age are eligible to participate. For more information, call Bob Pavlik, (570) 645-2566, or Josie Uher, 645-2407.
Easter egg hunt
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, will hold its annual Easter egg hunt on Sunday, April 17, beginning at noon in the parking lots behind the church. A brunch will be held after the hunt in the church hall.
Parish youths ages birth to 10 are invited to attend and must be accompanied by an adult. To register, call the parish office, (570) 645-2282.
The borough of Nesquehoning will begin street sweeping (according to weather conditions) in the Hauto Valley Estates and the Village of Hauto. Cars should be parked in the drive ways at the estates.
They will next do downtown Nesquehoning and from there go to New Columbus.
The public's cooperation would be appreciated in moving cars when streets are posted for sweeping.
