Carbon Salary Board approves changes

The Carbon County Salary Board approved the following changes during its monthly meeting on Thursday. The changes are as follows:

Courts• Establish the position of one summer law clerk* ** at $13 per hour, effective April 1. (Not to exceed 14 weeks)• Establish the position of two summer interns* ** at $8 per hour, effective April 1. (Not to exceed 12 weeks)District Justice• Change the rate of one district justice secretary I from $10.93 per hour to $11.26 per hour, effective April 1.Domestic Relations• Establish the position of one summer intern* ** at $8 per hour, effective April 1. (Not to exceed 12 weeks)Area Agency on Aging• Change the rate of one aging case aide II from $11.26 per hour to $10.93 per hour, effective April 6.Commissioners Office• Establish the position of one temporary part-time clerk* at $9.45 per hour, effective April 1.Corrections• Establish the position of one acting warden at $48,089.60 per year, effective April 1.• Change the salary of one warden from $54,121.60 per year, to $48,089.60 per year, effective April 1.Election Department• Establish the position of one temporary secretary III at $12.16 per hour, effective April 1.Tax Assessment• Change the rate of one assistant chief assessor from $14.36 per hour to $14.79 per hour, effective April 1.Weatherwood• Establish the position of one acting director of nursing at $74,193.60 per year, effective April 1.• Establish the position of one acting assistant director of nursing at $46,800 per year, effective April 1.*Excluded from retirement plan not anticipated to work 1,000 hours.**Additional $.25 cents per hour for each year of service if applicable.
