Announcement has been made of the engagement of Allyson Cerasaro, daughter of Maurice and Janice Cerasaro of Hazleton, to Joseph Kistler, son of Jeffrey and Dena Kistler of Lehighton.

The bride-to-be is a 2005 graduate of Hazleton Area High School. She is a 2009 graduate of Delaware Valley College, where she earned a bachelor's degree in animal biotechnology and conservation. She is currently attending Penn State University, where she is working toward an associate degree as a medical laboratory technician.She is employed as an optometrist assistant at Dr. Brodsky and Associates.The prospective bridegroom is a 2005 graduate of Lehighton Area High School, and a 2009 graduate of Delaware Valley College, where he earned a bachelor's degree in business administration. He is currently employed as a behavioral manager at Youth Services Agency of Pa.A wedding date has been set for Sept. 10, 2011 at Queen of Heaven Parish at Our Lady of Grace Church in Hazleton.
