Weatherly American Legion sponsors fundraiser

The Weatherly American Legion Post No. 360 and American Legion Auxiliary Unit No. 360 are sponsoring a "Memorial Brick Fundraiser" to raise funds which will be used to finish the new American Legion building located on Veterans Lane. The Memorial Bricks will be used on the walkway from the sidewalk entrance of the Memorial Grounds for the monuments located on Spring Street. The memorial walkway would be a place where individuals or organizations can place their message for a loved one or as a testament to their group. The bricks placed in the walkway will be a remembrance that will last for decades. A memorial brick may be purchased for veterans, parents, children, family, friends, relatives, organizations, or clubs. Anyone the donor wishes to memorialize does not have to be a veteran or have served in the military. Prices and availability for the Memorial Bricks are not guaranteed beyond September 30. Anyone interested in more information on the Memorial Brick Fundraiser can contact either Weatherly American Legion Post No. 360 Commander Thomas Keener at 570-427-8016 or Weatherly Mayor Tom Connors at 570-427-4927.
