A woman was injured Monday morning in a single-car crash along SR895 in East Penn Township, Carbon County. The eastbound car went off the right berm, snapping off a utility pole before sliding down an embankment. Passers-by, Lehighton paramedics and members of the East Penn Fire Company worked to remove the woman from the wreckage. The road was closed for about an hour. State police at Lehighton are investigating the incident.
