Tara McCarroll Stauffenberg of Tamaqua (third from left) presents a check for $2000 to Debbie Heim, Chair of the Schuylkill County Suicide Prevention Task Force, and Kay Jones, Director of Community Development Schuylkill County VISION, in memory of her brother, Cory P. McCarroll, who committed suicide in June of 2009. The funds were raised during the Labor Day Dudefest, an event Stauffenberg hopes will become an annual event dedicated to helping prevent suicides.
