Four Mahanoy residents among 26 facing assault counts
Four Mahanoy City people were among 26 who were arraigned on assault charges before District Attorney James P. Goodman Monday morning at the Schuylkill County Courthouse and all entered pleas of not guilty and requested trial by jury. They were:
Jessica Ann Oshman, 22, and Jason Oshman, 23, both of Mahanoy City, aggravated assault, simple assault and harassment of Sandra Kline, Mahanoy City.
Charles John Kalenkoski, 20, Mahanoy City, two counts of aggravated assault on Mahanoy City police, disarming a police officer, possession of a controlled substance, resisting arrest and disorderly conduct last Feb. 28 in the 100 block on W. Mahanoy St.
Jason Robert Taris, 29, Mahanoy City, simple assault and harassing his wife, Amanda, last June 17.
Bobbi Jo Smith, 40, Mahanoy City, simple assault on Roseann Card, 213 Sherman St., McAdoo, last July 5.
Brian Keith Kintzel, 47, Pine Grove, simple assault and recklessly endangering Holly Brosius, Pine Grove, criminal mischief to parked vehicle and loitering and prowling in the 300 block ion Sweet Arrow Lake property last June.
Elvin Hernandez, 34, Tower City, simple assault and recklessly endangering Kegan Bettinger, Tower City and disorderly conduct last June 14.
Humberto Valdez-Perez, 57, inmate at the state correctional institution in Ryan Township, assault by prisoner, aggravated assault with deadly weapon (homemade shank) and simple assault causing bodily injury with a deadly weapon last June 3.
Nicole Lin Stevens, 21, Shenandoah, two counts each of simple assault and harassment of Gina Marie Lombardo, Shenandoah, last April 21.
Wayne Wassel Kechula, 56, and Edward Gavenas, 55, Shenandoah, both charged with aggravated assault, recklessly endangering another person, harassment, and two counts each of criminal conspiracy and simple assault on Stephen Mackeravage last May 21 in the 400 block on South Main Street in Shenandoah.
