A Barnesville man was killed in a one-vehicle crash over the weekend in the area of International Bedding Corporation, along the Morea Road (SR1008), in Mahanoy Township.

State police at Frackville said William Houser, 39, died in the crash that occurred about 2:15 a.m. on Saturday.

Troopers said Houser was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer eastbound when the vehicle crossed the double yellow line and entered the westbound lane.

The vehicle then went onto the berm and impacted a tree.

Houser was pronounced dead at the scene by county deputy coroner David Truskowsky, of Mahanoy City.

Troopers noted Houser was not wearing a seat belt.
