The Wilkes-Barre enforcement office of the state liquor control board conducted age compliance checks at licensed establishments in Palmerton, Lehighton and Bowmanstown, Carbon County, on Thursday, Sept. 16, starting at about 6 p.m. until 10 p.m.

Compliance checks consist of using supervised underage buyers in an attempt to purchase alcoholic beverages.

On the detail four establishments were checked. One was found to be noncompliant in that they served the underage buyer alcoholic beverages. The three establishments who were in compliance and did not serve the minor were identified as J.D. Citro's Inc. and Pizza Como USA Inc., both of Lehighton, and Lorenzo's Ristorante Inc., in Bowmanstown.
