No one was injured in a one vehicle crash that occurred about 1:30 a.m. on Sunday, Sept. 12, along SR1013 in Ryan Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at Frackville said John J. Benitez, 18, of Hazleton, was driving a 1999 Dodge Caravan southbound and rounding a left curve when he became distracted looking at the radio. The car went onto the berm and drove over large rocks causing damage to the undercarriage. Benitez had a 16-year-old male passenger from McAdoo with him.Troopers cited Benitez for not wearing a seat belt and careless driving.
