Palmerton Area High School Class of 1964 collecting for troops overseas

Published October 28. 2010 05:01PM

It's been said big things come in small packages.

For our area servicemen and servicewomen who won't have the good fortune of spending the holiday season with their loved ones, the prospect of unwrapping any gift is certain to be received with a heartfelt thanks.

Members of the community who would like to send area troops something for the Christmas holiday may do so through the Palmerton Area High School Class of 1964.

Those who have a son, daughter, other relative or friend may simply mail their name and address to Class of '64 Christmas C/O Stephen Vlossak P.O. Box 24, Palmerton, Pa, or call 610-826-7070.

Vlossak, a member of the PAHS Class of 1964 who served in the United States Army from 1968-70, said the initiative is being undertaken in an effort to "show our support and appreciation" to our servicemen and servicewomen.
