A report by a 7-year-old girl that a man tried to lure her into his pickup truck has been determined to be unfounded.

State police at Fern Ridge reported that their investigation into the incident proved it not to be true. The girl reported on Oct. 21 at 4 p.m. that she was walking near a school bus stop at Erica Lane and Krystal Road, in Chestnuthill Township, when a male in a Ford truck told her to get into his truck or he would get out and get her. She then told troopers another vehicle came at the scene and the other driver yelled at the man, who fled the scene.
