A recitation of the most holy rosary was held recently at the Depot Square Park (SR209 & SR309) in Tamaqua and as well as many other surrounding towns. Team captain Pat Rabayda said, "Human efforts are failing to solve America's growing crisis, and things will only get worse unless we ardently beg our Lord and our Lady to save us through the intercession of the Holy Rosary." More than 7,300 groups around the Nation prayed that day at rallies held at community parks and squares. This past Saturday was selected for the rally in recognition of the final apparition of Our Lady of Fatima to three shepherd children in Fatima, Potugal on Oct. 13, 1917. Parishioners Tom and Donna, rosary captain, Carrigan, both from Walker township, organized the Tamaqua recitation.
