Luring of a child incident in Monroe

State police at Fern Ridge are investigating a luring of a child incident that occurred at a school bus stop in Monroe County.

Troopers said a 7-year-old girl was at the stop located at Erica Lane and Krystal Road, in Chestnuthill Township, about 4 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 21, when a man in a pickup truck pulled up and told her to get into his truck or he would get out and get her.

At this time another driver, a female, pulled to the scene and yelled at the man in the truck. He then fled the scene. The girl then walked home safely, troopers said.

The only description of the suspect truck was that it was a Ford model.
