Woman hurt in fall from ladder

A 56-year-old Mahoning Township woman was seriously injured Saturday afternoon after falling from a ladder. Emergency personnel were dispatched at 2 p.m. when it was reported a woman was seriously injured and had to be rescued after a high elevation fall from a ladder at her home along Konowaletz Boulevard just off Beaver Run road. Rescue crews from the Mahoning Valley and Lehighton fire companies responded to the scene. After freeing the victim she was treated at the scene by Lehighton paramedics then flown via a medical transport helicopter to a Lehigh valley area trauma center. Mahoning township police are investigating the incident.
