Counterfeit bills were passed at a Schuylkill County store this week.

State police at Schuylkill Haven said an unknown male passed five counterfeit $100 bills at the Lowe's store at the Fairlane Village Mall in East Norwegian Township. The incident occurred about 12:42 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 13. Troopers said the male used the bills to pay for a Dewalt brand seven-and- a-quarter inch circular saw and a Bosch 18V brute hammerdriver.Anyone with information concerning this incident is asked to call troopers at (570) 593-2000.
