The Youth Group and advisors of Zion's Stone Church of West Penn hosted a dinner and show for over 170 people recently at the church to benefit Alan Tyson, who is recovering from a serious motorcycle accident.

The group donated half of the proceeds from the dinner and show to the Tyson family.

Tyson was flown by helicopter after a drunk driver hit him at the intersection of Routes 54 and 309 in Hometown.

Tyson, who is currently in a wheelchair, has been recovering and getting rehabilitation at the Good Shepherd Rehabilitation Center in Allentown.

His wife, Jean, has had to take a medical leave of absence from work to help take care of him.

Entertainment at the event included music by Jill Hoppes, Peanut Butter and Jelly Dance, the "Not So Knew" Newlywed Game, Mr Fritzenheimer's Music Class sketch antics, an Unusual Fashion Show and more.
