Two vehicles were involved in a late-night downtown Tamaqua accident just before midnight on Saturday. Reportedly, a female driver of a green Cadillac Eldorado was turning left from West Broad Street (SR209) onto Hunter Street, when she pulled into the path of a male driver of a gray Ford F-150 STX truck, driving eastbound on West Broad Street. The accident occurred during heavy traffic that was just leaving the Tamaqua Band Adjudication held at the Tamaqua Athletic Field. Tamaqua Fire Police closed that part of West Broad Street (SR209) while crews cleaned and cleared the scene. Tamaqua Police, Fire Department, and Ambulance also responded. No serious injuries were reported.
