A parade of shopping carts

Soon shoppers will be winding these shopping carts up and down aisles, filling them with goods for their house and kitchen table. The new Mahoning Township Wal-Mart, scheduled to open Wednesday, Oct. 13, has purchased 1,000 new shopping carts for the store, and for now, they sit idle awaiting the grand opening. A lot of miles will be put on those new carts as the new Wal-Mart has 204,000 square feet of shopping space, compared to 98,000 square feet at the existing Mahoning store, which will close at 7 p.m. on Oct. 12.
