Students at Saint Joseph Regional Academy in Jim Thorpe are participating along with other schools in a program called "Let them walk in our shoes" which is sponsored by PenTeleData and TV-13.

The students will be collecting pairs of new and lightly used children's shoes, infant through kid's size 5.

Some of the shoes collected will be sent to a local soldier serving in Iraq and will help many children in need there and also locally in our area.

The PA National Guard will be helping with storage and transportation issues.

The school that collects the highest pair of shoes to student ratio will be awarded a new computer courtesy of PenTeleData.

Deadline for donations is October 8.
