No one was hurt in a one-vehicle crash Nov. 25 at 2:10 p.m. on the Tumbling Run Road in Blythe Township, Schuylkill County.

State police at the Frackville barracks said Jennifer L. Schickram, 24, of Pottsville, was driving a 2004 Ford Explorer east on the road at about 40 m.p.h. when a squirrel ran out from a wooded area along the roadway and into her path. She applied the brakes, causing the vehicle to slide on the roadway and go into the westbound lane of travel before exiting the paved portion of the roadway. Police said the vehicle traveled about 50 feet before striking several large rocks, before turning in a counter-clockwise motion and coming to rest facing north on a slight incline.

Police said the vehicle sustained disabling damages.
