Pocono Mountain Regional police said a crash occurred about 2:34 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 16, at the intersection of Hemlock and Holiday drives in Stillwater Lakes development.
Police said John Berghoefer, 29, of Pocono Summit, crashed his car and was standing outside of it when they arrived. He showed signs of being under the influence and failed field sobriety tests. He was transported to the Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg, for a blood test.
Police said a search of his vehicle revealed drug paraphernalia and a small amount of marijuana. Charges of DUI, possession of drug paraphernalia and related counts will be filed against Berghoefer.
