The Meed's Memorial United Methodist Church in Nesquehoning prepared a free Thanksgiving dinner for the community. There were two servings, one at 3 p.m. and one at 5 p.m. The overabundance of people who attended depicted how many area people needed the meal and the accompanying friendship. Serving the food were left to right, Lori Taras, Diane Whitehead, Ryan Taras, Deliann McFadden, Kayona McFadden, Tanisha McFadden, and Samantha Zlock. The church pastor is Rev. Michael Netznik.
