Dear Editor:

I was told by another Vietnam vet that Subway stores were providing free sandwiches on Nov. 11 to all veterans.When I went to the Palmerton Subway store they were unaware of the offer. They made a phone call and were told that Subway stores in this area were not participating in the offer but said they would be glad to honor a vet and make me a sandwich.I think it made them feel good to do something for an individual who served his country. I know it made me feel good that they went out of their way to honor a grateful vet.Bill GallagherPalmerton
