Lehighton field hockey team featured with a parade in town today

The Lehighton Area High School girls' field hockey team will be feted in a parade today upon their return home from the state championship game.

The Lady Indians are playing Wyoming Seminary for the PIAA Class AA state championship at 11 a.m. today at Whitehall High School.

The parade for the team will be held whether the team wins or loses.

The parade route is as follows:

Start at Lehighton Borough Annex on North Third Street and proceed to Iron Street; right on Iron to Night Street; right on Ninth to Mahoning; right on Mahoning Street to Third Street; left on Third Street to Coal Street; and left on Coal Street to Ninth Street.

The parade will then proceed down Ninth Street to Lehighton Area High School.
