Two Carbon County drivers are facing charges of driving under the influence (DUI), in separate incidents, state police at Lehighton report, and both incidents occurred on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

Troopers said Ronald Locher, 45, of Lehighton, was stopped along Fireline Road at Golf Course Road, in Lower Towamensing Township, about 8 p.m. for several motor vehicle code violations.Troopers said Locher was under the influence and will be charged.About 10:43 p.m. troopers stopped Travis Jon Shinsky, 36, of Palmerton along Mauch Chunk Road, at Franklin Avenue, in Palmerton, for a traffic violation. He was found to be under the influence of alcohol or a controlled substance, troopers said. Charges are pending.
