St. Luke's Miners Hospital to hold community talks

St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, Coaldale, will present the following health talks this month as part of its 100th Anniversary Lecture Series.

The talks are offered to the public and held in the board room at St. Luke's Miners Memorial Hospital, 360 West Ruddle Street.

Diabetes: Understanding, Treating and Monitoring the Disease (Monday, Nov. 15, 6-7 p.m.)

Learn how diabetes is diagnosed, effective treatment options and testing available to monitor the progression of diabetes. The talk will be presented by Kimberly Otto, CRNP and Vanessa Perez, CRNP, both of St. Luke's Health Center

Home Care: What You Should Know (Thursday, Nov. 18, 6-7 p.m.)

St. Luke's Home Health cares for and teaches patients and family members the steps needed to help recover from surgery or to manage an illness in their homes. Find out if you or your loved one qualifies for home health care and what services will be provided to help patients become independent and in control of their health and their lives.

The talk will be presented by Mary Louise Zimmerman, RN, BSN, NE-BC, Director, St. Luke's Miners Memorial Home Care.
