Veterans Day ceremonies to be held in Monroe Co.

Veterans Day ceremonies are held to honor and thank all who served in the United States Armed Forces.

If you would live in the West End of Monroe County, you have two opportunities to attend such a ceremony.

The American Legion Post 927 will hold a Veterans Day ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. Guest speaker will be the Honorable Mike Carroll, State Representative of the 118th Legislative District and Vietnam veteran, U.S. Army Retired Lieutenant Colonel Robert L. Hemphill.

The Eldred Township Veterans Committee will hold a ceremony on Thursday, Nov. 11 at 11 a.m. at the Veterans' memorial in front of the Eldred Township municipal building.

Mark Tramontina's Pleasant Valley High School 20th Century classes will hold their annual Veterans Day program in the high school gym on Thursday, Nov. 11 from 8 a.m.-2 p.m. featuring veterans, performances by students and displays. All are welcome to come honor veterans.
