Lions donation helps emergency services

Franklin Township Lions Club presents a check of $1000 to Franklin QRS (Quick Response Services) and another $2000 to the Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Company. Presenting the checks to Franklin Township Volunteer Fire Co. Lt. Tom Chew, center, was club member Art Berger, left, and President David Hawk, right. The Franklin QRS responds to medical emergencies before the ambulance arrives to assist residents. The fire company is currently working toward becoming certified to the Department of Health standards in all water rescue-related emergencies.
