A 22-year-old Kunkletown woman, who was a passenger on a motorcycle, was injured during a two-vehicle accident at 2:15 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 24.

State police at Fern Ridge barracks said Angela M. Hynes was transported by Lehighton ambulance to Pocono Medical Center, East Stroudsburg. Her condition was not known.

She was a passenger on a cycle driven by Joseph D. Strausberger, 24, also of Kunkletown.

Both Hynes and Strausberger were wearing helmets.

According to police, the motorcycle struck a car operated by Richard A. Schoch, 84 of Bethlehem. Passengers in the car were Edita Schoch, 85, and Ronald Schoch, 65, both of Bethlehem.

Police said both Schoch's car and the motorcycle were westbound on SR534 in Penn Forest Township, just east of Laurel Woods Road.

According to police, Schoch attempted to turn left without signaling the turn. Strausberger attempted to pass him on the left, just as Schoch started the turn.

The motorcycle struck the car in the rear, said police. They added that Hynes was thrown from the motorcycle.
