Two area seniors were recently awarded $250 scholarships through the Summit Hill Lions Club. Kristen Halenar, a senior at Marian Catholic High School, left; and Abigail Markovich, a senior at Panther Valley High School, right; accept the awards from scholarship committee chairperson Judy Midas. The scholarships were given to two individuals because their community service background illustrated the Lions' motto for serving the community. This is the second year the Summit Hill Lions awarded students with a scholarship.
