Tamaqua Train Station pathway receives its concrete

Workers in Tamaqua laid the first concrete for the new pathway sidewalk leading from West Broad Street (SR209) to the Tamaqua Train Station as part of the Streetscape Project. The old deteriorated concrete walkway was removed and is being replaced by a new brick and concrete sidewalk. Four rows of red bricks, consisting of up to 300 each, will be placed on the sides the new concrete sidewalk. The bricks are available for sponsorship. Sponsors can have their names placed on a red brick. Sponsored bricks benefit the Tamaqua

S.O.S. (Save Our Station) preservation of the Tamaqua Train Station. Those interested can stop by the Tamaqua Train Station to pick-up a sponsor form or call volunteer and

S.O.S. member Daniel Schroeder at (570) 449-1531 or (570) 668-2770 or visit

www.TamaquaStation.com for a brick sponsor form or for more information.
