Tamaqua man will face trial on assault, harassment charges
A Tamaqua man will face trial in Schuylkill County court after charges against him were bound over at a preliminary hearing before District Judge Stephen Bayer, Tamaqua.
Clovis Williams, 47, of 208 W. Spruce St., will face trial on charges of simple assault and harassment stemming from an April 6 incident. The charges were filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Karl Harig. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.
Williams was released on his own recognizance.
Other cases heard before Bayer last week included:
Danny F. Gomez, 26, of 137 S. Pine St., Hazleton, was bound over for trial on charges of two counts of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and a single count of possession of a controlled substance. Conspiracy charges were dismissed. The charges were filed by McAdoo Patrolman Robert Minnick following a Jan. 28 incident.
Gomez was released after posting ten percent of the imposed $50,000 bail.
James Wronski Jr., 22, of 414 Roosevelt Dr., Mahanoy City, failed to appear for his hearing on a charge of furnishing alcohol to a minor. The charge, filed by Rush Township Patrolman Brian Thompson, was bound over for court trial and stemmed from an April 8 incident.
Jessica Ann Rudy, 24, of 10 S. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, also failed to appear for her preliminary hearing. She was charged with conspiracy to commit theft by unlawful taking and theft by unlawful taking following an April 9 incident. Rush Township Patrolman Brian Thompson was the arresting officer.Linda R. Dudeck, 36, of 62 N. Kennedy Dr., McAdoo, failed to appear for a hearing on a bad check charge, filed by Kline Township Patrolman John Petrilla. The charge stems from a Jan. 4 incident.
Kareem Walker, 25, of 18 Mauch Chunk St., Tamaqua, chose to waive his right to a preliminary hearing on charges of resisting arrest, disorderly conduct and public drunkenness filed by Tamaqua Patrolman Thomas Rodgers. The charges stem from an April 20 incident.
Walker was unable to post the required $15,000 percentage bail and was returned to the Schuylkill County prison, Pottsville.
Steven Keach, 18, of 221 Lincoln St., Tamaqua, waived his right to a hearing on charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. The charges stem from a March 4 incident and were filed by Rush Township Patrolman Jonathan McHugh.
Keach was released on his own recognizance.
John R. Blank, 48, of 10 S. Greenwood St., Tamaqua, waived a hearing on charges filed by Rush Township Patrolman Brian Thompson, including conspiracy to commit theft, theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. The charges were filed following an Apri 9 incident.
Blank was released on his own recognizance.
Tracy L. Schock, 39, of 20 N. Apple St., Barnesville, waived a hearing on charges of corruption of minors and possession with intent to deliver filed by Ryan Township Patrolman Robert Rinehimer. The charges stem from a Feb. 8 incident.
Schock was released on $50,000 unsecured bail.
