St. Jerome's wins District CYO track title

St. Jerome Regional School, Tamaqua, won the championship of the District 5 Catholic Youth Organization (CYO) track and field meet held at Marian Catholic High School, Hometown. The Lions will now compete in the Diocesan track and field championships today (Saturday) at Notre Dame High School in Green Pond, near Easton. Team members include, row one, from left, Carly Trovinger, Emily Pilla, Abby Pilla, Scott Zelonis, Matt Karnish, Dylan Baddick and Ryan Buchman. Second row, Nico Agosti, Grace Boyle, Olivia Agosti, Kaylee Ceci, Nicholas Mayernik and Jimmy McKinley. Third row, Mary Dakosty (coach), Mason Williams, Michael Follweiler, Anthony Agosti, Nicholas Getten and Michael McHale. Rick Baddick is also a coach with the team.
