Judge Thomas presided at a session of Carbon County Court. Clair Joseph Andrews, Palmerton, a rhododendrum picker, pleaded guilty to the larceny of second-hand tires and was sentenced to pay a fine of $1, pay costs of prosecution, and restore value of stolen property. He has been in prison since March 15. There was argument in the case of Arnie Sitar, Nesquehoning, vs. Greek Catholic Union of the United States. Sitar was twice married and made his first wife, who died later, beneficiary. The second wife, of the same name, claims the sole beneficiary.
