Tamaqua Elementary School spring concert

A filled house of more than 900 people came to watch the Annual Spring Concert presented by the Tamaqua Area Beginning Band, Intermediate Band, and Sixth Grade Band held recently at the Tamaqua Auditorium. The concert consisted of performances by all three bands. The Beginning Band, consisting of 50 young musicians, performed First Concert Parade, Kingsridge, Old MacDonald's Band, and Ode to Joy. Fifty three young musicians of the Intermediate Band performed Blowin' In The Wind, Tamaqua!, and American Patrol. The Sixth Grade Band, consisting of over 40 musicians, performed patriotic bits and pieces, the Smithsonian Suite, Madrigal for Band, and To a New Beginning. Mark Beltz, Band Director, stated his high appreciation to all the parents, teachers, the Tamaqua school district, and especially to all his students for all their hard work.
