Stephen Yurchak, 24-year-old Nesquehoning youth who enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1935, is reported missing in action, members of his family learned today in a tersely worded communication received from the Navy Department. "Missing in action after the capituluation of Manila Bay," the notice said, while intimating that no definite information was available. He was last theard from a year ago when he was station in the Dutch East Indies. The telegram was received by his brother Michael Yurchak. It is presume he has been taken prisoner.
