Anonymous donor saves the day

Published May 15. 2010 09:00AM

Dear Editor,

The Christopher Columbus Society, also known as the Tamaqua Italian Club, wants to extend a sincere thank you from its members and staff to the generous anonymous benefactor who supplied the money to relace the lighting on our new sign for our building in Tamaqua.

We had raised money to pay for the new sign, but were advised by the zoning board that we could not display the type of sign that was made for us. We did not have additional funds to spend on modifying the lighting on the exiting sign.

A very kind person or persons anonymously stepped in to pay for the modifications made to the exisiting sign. We are very grateful to this person or persons and wanted to make sure that they know how much we appreciate their kindness and generosity.
