A meeting of the Panther Valley JROTC will be held on Wednesday, May 19 at 6 p.m. in the classroom.
The picnic will be discussed.
Our Lady of the Angels Academy, Lansford, will hold its first annual band concert on Tuesday, May 18, at St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford.
The concert will begin at 7 p.m. and will last about 45 minutes. It will be directed by Thomas Dowd.
Family members and friends are invited to attend.
St. Katharine Drexel Catholic Church, Lansford, has scheduled a three-day novena in honor of St. Rita of Cascia for Thursday through Saturday, May 20-22.
The novena will begin with a Mass at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 20, followed by Mass at 7 p.m. Friday, May 21, after which time Anointing of the Sick and novena prayers will take place.
The novena will conclude on Saturday, May 22, with a 9 a.m. Mass, followed by the blessing and distribution of roses.
The church choir will participate during the novena.
The schedule for the Summit Hill/Coaldale United Methodist Charge for Sunday, May 16, is as follows:
Worship services will be held at 9 a.m. in the Summit Hill United Methodist Church and at 11 a.m. in the Coaldale United Methodist Church.
The Rev. Burgess Gordon, pastor, will preside at both services.
The adult Sunday school will meet at 9:45 a.m. in the Coaldale church.
The Summit Hill Crime Watch committee will meet on Monday, May 24, at 7 p.m. in the Summit Hill Borough Hall.
Class of 1957
The Summit Hill High School Class of 1957 will hold a reunion luncheon at noon on Thursday, May 27, at 1 p.m. at Macaluso's at the Lantern, Nesquehoning.
Invitations have been sent to all class members.

Lee Mantz, president of the Summit Hill Historical Society, will be the featured speaker.
He will speak about the borough's history, with emphasis on the class' alma mater - Summit Hill High School, which was built nearly a century ago in 1911.
During the post-luncheon program, the eight deceased members of the 42-member class will be remembered in a memorial presided over by Walter Williams.

First Congregational Church
Morning Worship will be held at First Congregational Church, Ruddle Street, at 9 a.m. Sunday, May 16, followed by Sunday School at 10 a.m.
The Women's Class will meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday, May 18.
Rehearsal for the Memorial Day Choir is scheduled for 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 19.
Anyone who is interested in participating is invited to attend.
On Sunday, May 23, Morning Worship will be at 9 a.m. and Sunday School, at 10 a.m.
Vacation Bible School will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. June 21-25.
Children and youth ages 3 to 18 are welcome.
