Kristin O'Donnell, daughter of Donna O'Donnell of Jim Thorpe and Francis "Dubber" O'Donnell of Jacksonville Beach, Fla., became the bride of Jacob Herman, son of Timothy and Patricia Herman, also of Jim Thorpe, on Dec. 19, 2009 at Immaculate Conception Church in Jim Thorpe.

The Rev. James Ward officiated at the double ring ceremony. Vocalists were Rebekah McFadden and Kathryn McKeon. Kristine Betz was the organist.Given in marriage by her parents, the bride chose Shelly Kozuch of Wescosville as matron of honor. Keri Harris of Green Brook, N.J., and Mollie Llewellyn of Pittsburgh, were maids of honor.Bridesmaids included Suzanne Petrucci of Tamaqua; Tara McKeon of Conshohocken, Pa.; and Kaye Bennett of DuBois, Pa.The bridegroom chose Lucas Herman of Jim Thorpe to serve as the best man.Ushers included T.J. McKeon, Eric Schrantz, Michael Bott and Jason McElmoyle, all of Jim Thorpe; and Elijah Skrimcovsky of Lansford.Following the ceremony, the couple welcomed family and friends to a reception at Penn's Peak in Jim Thorpe.The new Mrs. Herman is a 2002 graduate of Villanova, where she earned a bachelor of arts in communication. She holds a master's degree in classroom technology from Wilkes University.She is employed as a seventh- and eighth-grade reading teacher in the Jim Thorpe Area School District at the Penn Kidder Campus.Mr. Herman is a 1998 graduate of Jim Thorpe Area High School. He is employed as the manager of Jim Thorpe Wholesale Flooring.The newlyweds reside in Jim Thorpe.
