Repsentatives from gubernatorial race at Palmerton Area Democratic Club
Representatives from three of the four gubernatorial campaigns and two from the races for lieutenant governor will be the featured guest speakers at the Palmerton Area Democratic Club's final "Get to Know the Candidates Night" Tuesday, May 11, 7 p.m. at Fireline Hotel, Bowmanstown.
The line up includes: In the race for Governor, speaking on behalf of Dan Onorato, Allegheny County Chief Executive, Campaign Manager, Mike Dineen; for Auditor General, Jack Wagner, Jim Boylan; and speaking for Joe Hoeffel, former U.S. Congressman and a current Montgomery County Commissioner, Tyler Cole. State Senator from Philadelphia, Anthony Williams was not able to send a representative.
In the race for Lieutenant Governor, Carbon County Controller, Bob Crampsie will speak on behalf of former Philadelphia city controller, Jonathan Saidel, and Dan Colby will represent Pennsylvania State Representative for the 77th District, Centre County, Scott Conklin.
Former Commonwealth Court Judge, Doris Smith-Ribner, was not able to send a representative.
"All too often we find ourselves in the voting booth knowing very little if anything about some of the candidates on the slate," said Club President, Sarina Berlow. "Our goal is to help you get to know who the candidates are, compare and contrast their positions on issues make a more informed decision."
Regular PADC monthly meetings will resume the second Tuesday in September, September 14, 7 p.m. at Fireline Hotel.
