It was announced today that Frank Kutz, Summit Hill's last surviving World War I veteran, will be the grand marshall in the borough's annual Memorial Day Parade on May 30. Kutz, like so many othrs, has lived a lifetime of toughness - from picking slate as a little boy, helping his family earn a living, to working in the mines, to dstanding tall in defense of America. Kutz, who will be 94 on Aug. 9, said of being the grand marshall, "It is an honor I'll cherish."
