Thousands of art projects lined the hallways recently as the Tamaqua Area Middle School presented the "Night of the Arts" exhibit.

The art projects from students grades 6 through 8 consisted of drawings, sewing pieces, painting, photography, carving, sculpting, ad making and model making.

The evening art exhibit included the annual student art show and professional exhibit. The art show was held in the south wing hallways and classrooms of the middle school.

In addition to the art work from students, a professional exhibit, "Art Beyond Borders," showcased the work of 24 artists from 24 different countries.

Tamaqua Art Teacher Mrs Mary Labert, who organized the event, stressed the amount of dedication that all of the students put into their art pieces. She was also thankful for the efforts of the volunteers who helped put exhibit together.
