The Mahoning Township Lions club is holding a dinner on Thursday, May 20, at the Mahoning Valley Ambulance Building on Mill Road in Lehighton to benefit the American Cancer Society.

The event will pay tribute to the late Carbon County Judge David W. Addy who lost his battle with cancer on December 18, 2009.

Judge Addy was an active member of his community and prided himself with commitment to the people of Carbon County. He assisted the Lions with projects ranging from their rabies clinic to Walk America.

Tom Zimmerman IV, president of the Lions Club, said, "He was always there when we asked for his assistance. We feel this is a terrific way to honor him for the many contributions he has made to our county and its citizens."

The speaker for the event will be Keith McCall, Pennsylvania Speaker of the House of Representatives. The Master of Ceromonies is Jerry Knowles, state representative.

For tickets or more information, contact Tom Zimmerman IV at 610-509-4091, email, call Justin Yaich at 570-778-7600, or email
