Historical Society

The monthly program for the Palmerton Area Historical Society will be a visit to the Anoopam Mission and Hindu Temple on Clearview Road, Coplay. At 7 p.m. on Monday, May 10, host Shree Patel will give the group background before attending the Hindu service. Attendees will need a pair of socks. Those planning to attend will car pool from Hager Furniture Store parking lot, Palmerton, at 6 p.m. Transportation is available for those needing a ride. Holy Trinity Church

Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 502 Lafayette Ave., Palmerton, will hold worship services at 8 and 10:45 a.m. on Sunday, May 9. A Mother's Day Tea will be held at 9:30 a.m. to honor moms on their special day. The breakfast tea will be presented by the Sunday school. Call the church office at (610) 826-2524 to make your reservations.

Blood Drive

From 4-7:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, a Miller-Keystone Blood Drive will be held at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton. Appointments are required and may be made by calling the blood center at (610) 926-6060. For other information, call Pastor Moore at (610) 826-2050, or you may also call (610) 826-4378 to schedule a time. Remember to bring your photo ID.

Community Meal

A free community meal will be held from 5-6:30 p.m., Tuesday, May 11, at St. John's United Church of Christ, 891 Columbia Ave., Palmerton.
