Tamaqua residents had to put up with hours of loud random fire whistles and false alarms throughout the borough early Saturday morning. Borough workers responded quickly by spending many hours tracking down the faulty connection at all junction and fire alarm boxes. The problem is narrowed down to the South Ward area. Currently, repairs are still being done.
